Emily was first attracted to functional human movement from a very young age. She started researching plyometric training in 6th grade in order to train her 5’0” stature to be able to jump and reach her hands over the volleyball net. For weeks after she continued to find new challenges for herself, finding more and more ways to jump higher over the net then she did the week prior, thus began her obsession with fitness. Emily has found a passion through sports and fitness to help kids and adults achieve and do things they never thought possible, just as she did for herself as a kid.
She played many sports as a child, focusing on volleyball throughout high school and college. She wanted to learn more, so she started shadowing her trainers to soak up as much knowledge as she could. After graduation, she studied Kinesiology, with a concentration in Exercise Science and Nutrition at West Chester University.
Along with full time coaching, Emily has been competitive in functional fitness since 2011. In 2011 & 2012 Emily competed as an individual athlete at the Reebok CrossFit Mid Atlantic Regional finishing 4th & 17th. In 2013 & 2014 Emily was a member of the team from CrossFit Explode (West Chester PA), taking 1st at the Mid Atlantic Regional both years qualifying them for the CrossFit Games where they finished 15 th in 2013, and 25th in 2014. In March of 2014, Emily signed with the Phoenix Rise, a professional team in the National Pro Grid League.
Emily is known for her infectious personality and her trademark smile, which you’ll see almost always on her face while helping clients achieve their goals!
